Our naming
process

In late 2016, UPA, one of the three interprofessional representative organizations for French businesses, and UNAPL, the representative organization for liberal professions, formed a merger to combine their strengths and pool their statuses.

This merge was aimed at ensuring that the interests of liberal businesses were considered at the interprofessional level. By joining forces, both organizations sought to amplify their influence and better represent their sectors within the broader business landscape.

U2P, union des entreprises de proximité, is a name that stands out due to the central “2,” symbolizing the union and merging of two organizations, UPA and UNAPL. It also evokes two key aspects related to the businesses it targets: “professionalism” and “proximity.”

The logo capitalizes on the status and appeal of u2p as a leading organization. It features a monolithic, modern design, reflecting both its authority and forward-looking approach. The simplicity and strength of the logo convey the unity and reach of the union while maintaining a contemporary, professional image.
