The investment banks IXIS CIB, IXIS AM (Groupe Caisse d’Epargne) and Natexis Banques Populaires merged in 2006.
After having created the name Natexis a few years earlier, the agency was commissioned once again to find a name for this newmanagement and financial services bank of the BPCE Group, the second largest banking player in France.
Natixis, a short and international name was born from a merge of the two companies “Ixis CIB” and “Natexis Banques Populaires”. It represents the great merge of the two companies and their former names.
