The law concerning the New Territorial Organization of the Republic (Loi NOTRe) assigns new responsibilities to the regions and redefines the skills of each territorial community.
Because of this, the Communities of Communes “Allier Comté Communauté,” “Gergovie Val d’Allier Communauté,” and “Les Cheires” are merging to form a single new entity, representing 40,000 inhabitants and 28 communes.
The name Mond’Arverne was chosen for its dynamic and evocative qualities, conjuring an image of a connected, accessible, and authentic community. The name also subtly refers to the “Monts d’Arverne,” highlighting the rich geological context of the territory. This blend of modernity and heritage reflects both the community’s connectivity and its deep local roots.
