This is the name of a smart meter that aims to renew the relationship between customers and energy. Installed on customers’ premises and linked to a supervision centre, it is in constant interaction with the network, which it helps to make “intelligent”.
On 9 July 2013, the French Prime Minister, Jean-Marc Ayrault, confirmed the objective of replacing all existing meters with this new meter, i.e. 35 million units, by 2020.
