Air France-KLM are launching a joint frequent flyer programme. It will replace the Fréquence Plus (Air France) and Flying Dutchman (KLM) programmes.
The new name of this programme must communicate proximity to its customers, openness to different cultures and modernity. It must also be easy to pronounce, understandable throughout the world and attributable to Air France and KLM.
Flying Blue is inspired by and blends the codes of KLM and Air France: Flying Dutchman and the colour blue, a metaphor for the sky, dear to Air France.
