The caisse des dépôts and the agence française de développement have signed a strategic alliance charter, formalizing their partnership to support, on an international level, ecological and energy transitions, demographic and social changes, territorial development, and digital transformation.
As part of this collaboration, they aim to launch a joint investment vehicle focused on financing infrastructure projects that contribute to sustainable development in developing countries, primarily in Africa, but also in South and Southeast Asia, Latin America, Turkey, and The Caribbean.
Stoa is the acronym for “Sustainable Transition Operator Abroad.” It is also a term used in architecture, both in French and English, where “stoa” refers to a “portico” or “colonnade” in Greek. This name therefore evokes stability, and then the sustainability of green financing.
