Union SDA, Union BS and Beghin Say have merged into one company to form one of the leading French and European sugar and alcohol producers.
The group’s production is based on sugar beet crops, sugar cane and cereals. 90% of produce will go to other industrial groups, only 10% will go directly to consumers (table sugar).
Tereos is a French sugar producer whose name references the cultivated land which is crucial to the group’s activities. Eos, which means dawn in Greek, evokes the company’s new beginning and sustainable developments. Furthermore, eos is an anogram of ose, a type of carbohydrate.
