Our naming
process

Unveiled by Renault in New Dehli, this concept was developped with Renault India’s design team, and targets clients in emerging markets, including India, but also in Southeast Asian countries, where Renault, through its alliance with Nissan, is relaunching its Datsun brand.

Nomen agency has to find a name respecting three specific criteria :
– In line with Renault’s brand values
– Consistency with the brand’s other concept-cars
– A presence in emerging markets, particularly India

The morphology of the name Kwid, solid, firm and dynamic reflects the qualities of the vehicle’s design.

The name refers to what led the project in the first place: innovation via “the idea”, escape and discovery suggested by the adjective wide, but also surprise and astonishment linked to the Latin term quid.
