In 2003, Volkswagen launches its first MPV based on the Golf platform. This vehicle won British magazine what car’s compact MPV prize in 2005 and was awarded 5 stars in security in the European New Car Assessment Program test.
Touran comes from the combination of the word tour and Sharan (another of VW’s MPVs). This car is created to adapt thanks to its modular design. The name evokes comfort, luxury and modernity.
